Robert Poortinga's musical journey includes studying with esteemed musicians such as Enrico Pace, Lukas Hagen, and Tamara Poddubnaya. Earning the highest remarks during his studies in the USA, Netherlands, and Italy. Over the years Robert has distinguished himself as one of the

premier duo partners in the violin repertoire.

His collaboration with violinist Meri Khojayan resulted in a documentary on Pablo de Sarasate, a CD recording with the complete works for violin and piano of Sergei Prokofiev and a decade of concert seasons spanning nearly all European countries and the USA. 

Looking forward to the 2024 season, Robert plans to record a solo CD featuring Robert Schumann's Kreisleriana Op.16, Fantasie Op.17, and the Arabeske Op.18. Additionally, in 2025, he is set to release a CD featuring all Transcendental Etudes by Franz Liszt.

 

These upcoming recordings promise to showcase Robert's mastery and versatility as a pianist, offering audiences an immersive experience into the rich and diverse world of classical music from the romantic era.
